Profound pricing in October 2026: free 7-day Trial and custom Enterprise for brands, $399 per month per client workspace for agencies

TL;DR

  • On 20 October 2026, Profound's pricing page lists two plans for brands: a free Trial (50 prompts run daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews) and Enterprise at a custom price. There is no self-serve paid plan for a single brand.
  • Agencies get a self-serve Agency Growth plan. Each full client workspace is a $399/month add-on (100 prompts a day on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews), five extra trial workspaces cost $199/month, and ten pitch workspaces a month are included. The page does not print a base fee for Agency Growth.
  • Enterprise can track up to nine answer engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search. No Enterprise price is published.
  • A Profound client workspace works out at about $44 per 1,000 recorded answers. The agency workspace also includes 400 agent credits a month, so it is not a like-for-like tracking price.
  • We had been quoting Profound at $499/month in older posts. That number is not on Profound's page today, and we are correcting it.

Profound Pricing (October 2026): Free Trial, Enterprise and Agency Plans, Checked

Profound does not sell a self-serve plan to brands in October 2026. A brand gets a free 7-day Trial and then talks to sales about Enterprise, which has no published price. Agencies are the exception: Profound's Agency Growth plan lets an agency add full client workspaces at $399/month each. Every figure on this page comes from Profound's own pricing page and help centre, read on 20 October 2026. Where the page is silent, we say so instead of filling the gap with an estimate.

We make a competing AI visibility tracker, RankScope, so treat our framing with the suspicion you would give any vendor. The numbers below are Profound's, and you can check every one of them yourself in about two minutes (the steps are at the end).

The Short Answer

PlanWho it's forPrice on Profound's pageWhat it includes
TrialBrands evaluating ProfoundFree50 prompts run daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, limited AI Marketer credits
EnterpriseBrands running AI search programmes at scaleCustomTailored prompt plan, up to 9 answer engines, history, exports, API, SSO/SAML, SOC 2, dedicated support
Agency GrowthAgencies pitching and managing clientsBase fee not printed; client workspaces $399/month each10 pitch workspaces a month, agency mode, consolidated billing
Agency EnterpriseLarge agencies and networksCustomTailored client and trial workspaces, dedicated agency partner, premium Slack support

The practical reading: if you are a single brand, the only price you can see is zero, for a week. After that the number comes from a sales conversation.

Brand Plans in Detail

Trial (free)

The Trial is a fixed, seven-day look at your visibility. Profound's page lists:

  • 50 unique prompts, run daily for 7 days
  • Three answer engines: ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews
  • One language and one region
  • Limited AI Marketer credits (Profound's agent product, which runs on credits)
  • Agent Analytics for unlimited domains, with integrations for Akamai, AWS, Cloudflare, Fastly, Google Analytics, Google Cloud Platform, Netlify, Vercel and WordPress
  • 5 Prompt Volume searches
  • Unlimited seats

And it lists what the Trial leaves out: no history, no exports, no API, no support and no SSO. The FAQ adds one more limit that matters more than any of those: Trial users get a recommended prompt set based on their industry and cannot customise their prompts. On Enterprise you can edit, disable and add prompts.

That last point changes what the Trial can tell you. A visibility number is only as good as the prompt list behind it, and a prompt list written for your industry in general is not the list your buyers type. For example, if you sell payroll software to restaurants, a generic "best payroll software" set will tell you little about "payroll for a restaurant with tipped staff in California". Use the Trial to judge the product and the interface, and do not read the visibility score as your real baseline.

In answer terms, the Trial records at most 50 prompts × 3 engines × 7 days = 1,050 answers.

Enterprise (custom)

Enterprise is where Profound's breadth lives. The page lists:

  • A tailored prompt-tracking plan, run daily
  • Up to 9 answer engines, from this list: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Anthropic Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search
  • Custom languages and regions
  • ChatGPT Shopping tracking
  • All-time history, exports in CSV and JSON, and an API
  • AI Marketer credits for the whole team and unlimited suggestions
  • SSO/SAML and SOC 2 compliance
  • Support options including email, a dedicated Slack channel and a dedicated specialist with a 24-hour SLA

There is no price. Profound's FAQ says that if you approach your prompt limit it will "notify you" and help you "explore the best expansion options", which is a polite way of saying the price moves with prompt count. You will see Enterprise estimates of a few thousand dollars a month on other sites. We could not find one that cites a source, so we are not repeating any of them here.

Agency Plans in Detail

Switch the toggle on Profound's pricing page from "For brands" to "For agencies" and a different set of plans appears.

Agency Growth

This is the only self-serve plan Profound still lists. It includes:

  • 10 pitch workspaces a month, for running audits on prospects. Each one tracks 25 unique prompts daily for 7 days (with an option to extend) on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.
  • Full client workspaces as an add-on at $399/month each. A client workspace tracks 100 unique prompts daily on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, and includes 400 agent credits a month and 4 opportunities a week.
  • +5 trial workspaces for $199/month
  • Agency mode for managing workspaces, and consolidated billing

What the page does not show is a base price for Agency Growth itself. Several third-party pricing pages quote a $99/month base fee. We could not find that figure on Profound's page or in its help centre on 20 October, so treat it as unconfirmed and ask before you budget.

Profound's help centre confirms the credit allowance: "Agency Growth: 400 credits per month per client workspace." Pitch workspace credits are counted separately from those usage credits.

Agency Enterprise

Custom pricing, for "large agencies and networks managing dozens of clients". It adds tailored client and trial workspace allowances, a dedicated agency partner, go-to-market support and premium Slack support.

What a Profound Client Workspace Costs per Answer

Plan prices hide the unit you are buying. The fairer comparison between AI visibility trackers is the number of AI answers each one records for the money.

A Profound client workspace records 100 prompts × 3 engines × 30 days = 9,000 answers a month, for $399. That is about $44.33 per 1,000 answers.

PlanMonthly priceAnswers recorded a monthCost per 1,000 answers
Profound client workspace$3999,000 (100 prompts × 3 engines)$44.33
RankScope Agency$39948,000 (400 prompts × 4 engines)$8.31
RankScope Professional$14918,000 (150 prompts × 4 engines)$8.28
Peec AI Pro$24513,500 (150 prompts × 3 models)$18.15
Otterly.AI Premium$48948,000 (400 prompts × 4 engines)$10.19

Two cautions before you lean on that table. First, the Profound workspace also includes 400 agent credits a month for content and research work, and the RankScope Agency plan includes 200 Studio credits, so neither price is only tracking. Second, the engine mix differs: Profound's agency workspaces cover Perplexity and Google AI Overviews but not Google AI Mode, which RankScope's Professional and Agency plans include. Cost per answer tells you about volume, not about which answers you need.

A Worked Example: An Agency With Four Clients

Say an agency wants to track 100 buyer prompts for each of four clients.

  • On Profound: four client workspaces at $399 is $1,596 a month, plus whatever the Agency Growth base fee is. Each client gets three engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews), 400 agent credits, and the agency gets ten pitch workspaces a month for new business.
  • On RankScope Agency: 400 monitored prompts across up to 25 client workspaces is $399 a month, or $332 a month billed annually. Each prompt runs on four engines (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Google AI Mode), with 200 Studio credits a month.

The gap is large, and it is not the whole story. Profound's agent product and its pitch workspaces are real features that RankScope prices differently, and an agency whose main problem is winning new business may value ten free prospect audits a month more than a lower tracking cost. What we would push back on is paying $399 per client purely for tracking when the client needs 100 prompts on three engines.

What Changed in Profound's Pricing

Profound's pricing has moved more than once this year, which is why every number above carries a date.

  • Earlier in 2026, brands could buy self-serve plans. Geoptie's review from 23 June 2026 quoted a $99/month Starter plan covering ChatGPT only and a $399/month Growth plan covering three engines. Those were third-party readings; we did not capture Profound's page at the time.
  • By 20 October 2026, the brand page shows Trial and Enterprise only. The self-serve plan that survives is Agency Growth.
  • Pricing is now partly credit-based. Profound's help centre describes Agents as "priced on a credit-based model", with credits consumed each time an Agent runs.

One more change is our own. Several older RankScope posts describe Profound as starting at $499/month. That figure is not on Profound's page now, and we have not found where it came from. We are correcting those posts to match what Profound publishes.

Who Profound Is Right For

Profound is built for teams that need breadth and governance more than a low entry price:

  • Enterprise brands that need many engines. Nine engines, including Claude, Copilot, DeepSeek and ChatGPT Shopping, is wider coverage than any self-serve tracker we have checked.
  • Teams that need SSO, SOC 2 and an API on day one. Procurement requirements alone rule out most smaller tools.
  • Agencies that sell AI search work and want pitch tooling. Ten prospect audits a month is a feature aimed directly at new business.

It is a harder fit for a single brand that wants to start tracking this month with a card. There is no self-serve brand plan to buy. If that is you, the tools that publish a price are compared in our AI visibility tool pricing page, and our Profound alternatives guide covers the options in more depth.

How RankScope Compares, Plainly

Where Profound is ahead: engine count on Enterprise (nine against our four), ChatGPT Shopping, all-time history, SSO and SOC 2 on its top tier, and agency pitch workspaces. Where RankScope is ahead: a published self-serve price for brands, Google AI Mode on every paid plan above Starter, and cost per answer. There is no RankScope trial period; our free AI Visibility Checker runs a one-off check instead.

How to Check Profound's Pricing Yourself

Pricing pages change, including this one. To verify:

  4. For credits, read Profound's help article on Agents credits.

If anything here no longer matches, tell us and we will update the page and its date.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Profound cost?

On Profound's pricing page on 20 October 2026, brands get a free 7-day Trial and then Enterprise at a custom price; there is no published self-serve plan for a single brand. Agencies can use Agency Growth, where each full client workspace is a $399/month add-on and five extra trial workspaces cost $199/month. No base fee for Agency Growth and no Enterprise price is printed on the page.

Does Profound have a free trial?

Yes. The Trial plan is free and runs 50 prompts daily for 7 days across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, with limited AI Marketer credits, one language and one region. Trial users get a recommended prompt set and cannot write their own prompts, and the Trial includes no history, exports or API.

Does Profound still have a Starter plan?

Not for brands. Third-party reviews from mid-2026 describe self-serve Starter and Growth plans, but on 20 October 2026 Profound's brand pricing shows only Trial and Enterprise. The self-serve plan that remains is Agency Growth, which is for agencies.

Which AI engines does Profound track?

It depends on the plan. The Trial covers ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Agency pitch and client workspaces cover ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Enterprise can track up to nine: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Profound?

Several tools publish self-serve prices. On their own pages in October 2026: Otterly.AI from $29/month, HubSpot AEO at $50/month, Peec AI from $95/month, and RankScope at $49/month, or $39/month billed annually, for ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews, with Perplexity and Google AI Mode on the $149/month Professional plan. None of them offers Profound's nine-engine Enterprise coverage.
