HubSpot AEO pricing in October 2026: $50 a month or $45 billed annually for 25 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, 28-day free trial

TL;DR

  • HubSpot AEO costs $50/month, or $45/month billed annually, on HubSpot's pages on 20 October 2026. That buys 25 prompts, run daily on three answer engines: ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. HubSpot puts that at 2,500 answers a month.
  • There is a 28-day free trial with no credit card. When it ends, the same 25 prompts keep running at $50/month without losing data. It is a trial, not a free plan.
  • HubSpot AEO does not track Google AI Overviews or Google AI Mode. If your buyers start their research on Google, the AI answers they see there are outside this tool.
  • Each brand is a separate $50/month instance. Extra prompts are sold as an 'AEO Answers Limit Increase', and HubSpot does not print its price on the AEO or pricing pages.
  • AEO is also included in Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise, with allowances of 25 and 50 prompts. It is still labelled Beta.

HubSpot AEO Pricing (October 2026): $50 a Month, What It Tracks and What It Leaves Out

HubSpot AEO costs $50 a month, or $45 a month billed annually, for 25 prompts run daily on three answer engines: ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. There is a 28-day free trial, and the tool is included in Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise. It does not track Google AI Overviews or Google AI Mode. Every figure here comes from HubSpot's AEO product page and Marketing Hub pricing page, read on 20 October 2026. HubSpot still labels the product Beta, so expect changes.

We make RankScope, which competes with HubSpot AEO for some buyers. We have tried to describe HubSpot's offer as HubSpot does and put our own numbers next to it in the same format.

What the $50 Buys

HubSpot's pricing page sums up the standalone plan in one line: "Track 25 prompts across 3 answer engines daily. Purchase additional prompts anytime." The AEO product page lists five included features:

  1. Multi-engine coverage across ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity
  2. Brand visibility and sentiment analysis. The visibility score is the share of tracked answers that mention you; sentiment runs on a scale from −100 to +100.
  3. Competitor share of voice and citation analysis
  4. Prompt tracking and suggestions. HubSpot suggests prompts from your company and competitors, and you can filter results by answer engine, buyer's journey phase and product relevance.
  5. Prioritised AEO recommendations, such as writing a new blog post, updating a page, publishing a LinkedIn post or reaching out to third-party sites

The citation analysis is more detailed than the one-line feature list suggests. HubSpot's FAQ says it breaks citations down by source type (owned, competitor, third-party, social, affiliate and more) and content type (blog, news, product, social), and shows which specific pages are cited most often.

The trial

HubSpot's pricing page offers a 28-day trial. The AEO page describes it this way: track 25 prompts in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini for free, no credit card required, and after the trial "continue tracking for $50/month: same 25 prompts, same three engines, no interruption to your data."

That last point is useful. Some tools reset or archive trial data; HubSpot says it carries over. It is still a trial with an end date, not a free plan, which some comparison pages (including an earlier one of ours) describe loosely.

What HubSpot AEO Does Not Track

The engine list is the most important limit, and it is easy to miss because the product page does not dwell on it.

HubSpot AEO tracks ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. It does not track Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode or Microsoft Copilot.

Gemini and Google AI Overviews are different products. Gemini is Google's chatbot; AI Overviews are the AI answers shown at the top of a Google search results page, and AI Mode is the separate conversational search tab. A buyer who types a question into Google sees an AI Overview, not a Gemini answer, and the sources cited can differ. So a brand that is visible in Gemini can still be missing from the AI Overview on the same question, and HubSpot AEO would not show it.

For example, a B2B software company whose buyers research on Google first would get a clear view of ChatGPT and Perplexity from HubSpot AEO, but nothing on the Google surface those buyers see before they click anything.

Whether that matters depends on where your buyers ask. If you are not sure, check your analytics: referral traffic from chatgpt.com and perplexity.ai shows up directly, while AI Overviews traffic is folded into Google organic.

Cost per 1,000 Answers

HubSpot is unusually clear about volume: its pricing page says the 25 daily prompts on three engines come to 2,500 answers a month. (Our own 30-day arithmetic gives 2,250; HubSpot's figure presumably rounds up or counts a longer month. We use HubSpot's number below.)

PlanMonthly priceAnswers a monthCost per 1,000 answers
HubSpot AEO$50 ($45 annual)2,500$20.00 ($18.00 annual)
Otterly.AI Lite$291,800 (15 × 4 × 30)$16.11
RankScope Starter$49 ($39/mo billed annually)2,400 (40 × 2 × 30)$20.42
Peec AI Starter$95 ($80 annual)4,500 (50 × 3 × 30)$21.11
RankScope Professional$149 ($124 annual)18,000 (150 × 4 × 30)$8.28

At the entry level HubSpot AEO, RankScope Starter and Peec Starter all land near $20 per 1,000 answers. They are buying different answers, though: HubSpot covers ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity; RankScope Starter covers ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews; Peec Starter lets you choose three from a list that includes Google AI Overviews and AI Mode but not Perplexity. Pick by engine first, then compare price.

We cannot extend the HubSpot row upward, because the price of the AEO Answers Limit Increase is not printed on either page we checked.

Inside Marketing Hub

HubSpot also bundles AEO into Marketing Hub. The pricing page lists AEO (Beta) as a feature of Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise, with two allowances in its comparison table:

  • 25 prompts, each run daily across 3 engines, "for 2,500 answers per month"
  • 50 prompts, each run daily across 3 engines, "for 5,000 answers per month"

Both say to "purchase the AEO Answers Limit Increase for additional prompts and tracking volume". HubSpot's AEO page adds that with Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise "your CRM data is already connected, so recommendations are even more specific", and content creation tools are built in.

Marketing Hub Professional is a much bigger purchase than AEO alone. The pricing page notes a required one-time Professional Onboarding fee of $3,000 (and $7,000 for Enterprise onboarding), on top of the subscription. Nobody should buy Marketing Hub for AEO. If you already have it, the included allowance is a free way to start.

A Worked Example: Three Brands

A small agency or a company with three product brands wants 25 prompts tracked for each.

  • On HubSpot AEO: three instances at $50 is $150 a month ($135 billed annually) for 75 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, in three separate instances.
  • On RankScope Professional: 150 prompts across up to 3 brand workspaces on four engines (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Google AI Mode) is $149 a month, or $124 billed annually.
  • On Otterly.AI Standard: 100 prompts with unlimited workspaces on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot is $189 a month (see our Otterly.AI pricing page).

HubSpot is the simplest of the three if you only need 25 prompts per brand and the three engines it covers. Above that, the per-instance model and the unpublished limit-increase price make it harder to budget.

Who HubSpot AEO Is Right For

  • HubSpot customers. If you are on Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise, AEO is already included. If you are not, $50 is a low-commitment way to start, and the recommendations tie into HubSpot's content tools.
  • Brands whose buyers use ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. Those are the three engines it covers well.
  • Teams that want a guided tool. HubSpot's own FAQ says it is built so "any marketer can get started" without technical knowledge, and its prompt suggestions and prioritised recommendations lean that way.

It is a weaker fit if Google AI Overviews or Google AI Mode matter to your buyers, if you need more than 25 prompts and want to know the price before you commit, or if you need an API. For a broader view, see our AEO tools comparison and the AI visibility tool pricing page.

What Changed

HubSpot AEO launched in 2026 and is still Beta. Search interest in "hubspot aeo pricing" jumped in August 2026, and the product's packaging has been described differently across sites since. As of 20 October 2026, three details are worth knowing because other pages often get them wrong:

  • It is a 28-day trial, not an ongoing free plan.
  • Tracking runs daily, which HubSpot's pricing page now states explicitly.
  • The engines are ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode are not covered.

HubSpot also says it acquired XFunnel in 2026 and built the AEO tools on that work.

Four Questions to Ask HubSpot Before You Buy

The public pages leave a few things open. If any of them matter to you, ask during the trial:

  1. What does an AEO Answers Limit Increase cost, and in what size? This decides whether HubSpot AEO stays cheap past 25 prompts.
  2. Can a single instance hold more than one brand's competitors? The FAQ says one instance per brand; check how competitor tracking is counted.
  3. Is Google AI Overviews or AI Mode on the roadmap? If Google's AI answers matter to your buyers, this is the gap that would decide it.
  4. What changes when the product leaves Beta? Beta pricing and allowances are the ones most likely to move.

How to Check HubSpot AEO Pricing Yourself

  1. Open hubspot.com/products/aeo and scroll to HubSpot AEO Software Pricing for the standalone price and features.
  2. Open hubspot.com/pricing/marketing and find the HubSpot AEO card for the trial length and daily tracking, then the feature table for the Marketing Hub allowances.
  3. The AEO page's FAQ covers the trial, multiple brands and the CMS question.
